Whoever touches the life of the child touches the most sensitive point of a whole, which has roots in the most distant past and climbs toward the infinite future.
Here at the Montessori Learning Center of Edison Park we offer early childhood education using the Montessori Philosophy developed by Dr. Maria Montessori. We have five classrooms designed for maximum comfort and educational benefit: one classroom for ages 2 through 3 and the other four are for ages 3 through 6. We have designed an enriched environment in which your child can succeed and gain a fulfilling education. It is our goal and responsibility to provide your child with the necessary tools to exceed in life.
Soossan Nimrouzi, mother of three daughters as well as a wife, received her bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology from Truman State University in Missouri. She was introduced to the Montessori Method of Education by her niece and nephews who were attending a Montessori school at the time. She enjoyed her experience with the Montessori Method and became interested in teaching it. She began to study Montessori Education and received her Montessori Teaching Certification from Midwest Montessori Teacher Training Center in Evanston. For the past twenty years she has been a teacher and a director at multiple Montessori schools in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. For the past ten years of her career she has taught and supervised student teachers who were on the path to becoming Montessori educators.
One of her goals since becoming a Montessori educator has been to start a school of her own. She opened the Montessori Learning Center of Edison Park in hopes that she could satisfy the need to create a school where quality education is given in the city where she lives.
